Womens Football

Woman have been part of the club since the clubs early years and were keenly supported by the late Theresa Brown. However like the men, the team/s folded due to lack of numbers in the late 1990’s.

The current woman’s team was formed 2008 with pupils from Aotea College’s 1st XI combining with some past pupils. It has enjoyed mixed success, with promotions and relegations between Capital Footballs Division 1 and 2 grades. The team has a wide age group range.

The player with the most appearances in that time is Captain Kirsty Tapara with 166 from a possible 167 appearances, 2008-2017

The leading goal scorer is Samantha McCutcheon with 31 goals.

The 2017 season was the teams 10th Anniversary, and saw the team win the Capital Football Division 2 Cup at the season finale, gaining promotion to Division 1.

Due to lack of players the club was unable to field a team in 2018 / 2023.
